Code of Ethics 

I am committed through this statement of ethical practices to promote the highest possible standards of professional conduct.

I will conduct myself in a professional manner and perform competently and to the highest possible standards at all times.

I will present or supply services honestly and without misrepresentation, avoiding the use of false, confusing, inaccurate or misleading terms, descriptions and claims.

I will earn, establish and maintain a reputation for giving an excellent, quality service.

I will render proper, fair, reasonable and efficient services to my clients.

I will deal promptly with any issues and endeavour to the best of my ability to solve them.

I will advise every client, as I would wish to be advised, if I were the client.

I will refrain from discriminatory practices.

I will not partake of alcoholic beverages whilst working for a client, this includes during any consultation, booking, or post-booking meetings.

I will not use unacceptable or insulting language / behaviour at any function, or seek to embarrass any client or guest.

I will maintain the highest reasonable level of safety for all services.

I hold, and can produce documentary evidence of, an Enhanced Criminal Records Check.

I will undertake training for the development and improvement of professional standards and practices, on a regular basis.

I will be responsive to, and available for, clients before, during and after the event.

I hold a minimum of £5 million Public Liability Insurance.
 
I will safeguard your personal data and information in accordance with Schedule 1 of the Data Protection Act 1998 and the General Data Protection Regulation. I will not share your data or personal information with any third party. However, if I am required to disclose that information in order to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order or legal process served on me, then I will have no alternative but to do so.

I will maintain and enhance the reputation, standing and good name of the Federation of Professional Toastmasters and its membership.

I respect other professional Toastmasters and their opinions, and will never seek to discriminate against them, or denigrate their work.

This Code of Ethics is a guideline and does not represent the entire scope of good conduct and ethical behaviour. My acceptance and adherence to this Code is my standard practice.
